Grand Designs in Tbilisi

Design imageAfter years of renting we’ve finally decided to take the plunge and buy a home of our own.

Sometime in 2016 we’ll move from the flat which has been our home since Georgi first began his recovery into a brand new flat just up the road. There’s a lot of work to be done but we’re looking forward to the day when we can finally move in. The advantage of this place is that it already has a wheelchair ramp (a BIG plus when we first saw the place - and something which is a bit of a rarity or an afterthought in building design in Georgia), the lift goes from the garage level right to our front door (so no steps to negotiate), and it’s even closer to Lana’s mother’s building than our current place - just around the back, in fact, and we rely on her daily visits to help out with Georgi.
